Tonight’s Come Follow Me bedtime story is about King Hezekiah, a good king who loved God, prayed from his sickbed, and received a gentle sign that God had heard him.
In 2 Kings 20, Hezekiah turns his face to the wall and prays. The Lord sends the prophet Isaiah back with beautiful words of comfort: He has heard Hezekiah’s prayer, seen his tears, and will help him.
Then God gives Hezekiah a quiet, wonderful sign: the shadow on the dial of Ahaz goes backward.

In 2 Kings 16–25, we remember a faithful king who received a frightening letter from an enemy army. Hezekiah did not pretend the fear away. He carried the letter into the house of the Lord, spread it before God, and prayed.
